Enjoy an evening of live music, drinks, and door prizes at Chattahoochee Brewing Company Aug. 16. Team Realtor and the East Alabama Board of Realtors is hosting Pups and Pints at 5 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for the East Alabama Humane Society.
“We felt having it outdoors, with a band, food, and some craft brews would bring in a crowd and raise funds for this awesome organization. Several of our agents have adopted pups from EAHS and make donations to them as well,” said Jennifer Blackstock, who chairs the Team Relator Committee.
The event is free to attend, but there will be tickets for raffle prizes available. Shirts from the humane society will also be available for purchase. A percentage of the food and drink sales will also be donated to the humane society.
“With this being the first year we weren’t really sure of a goal, but as of now, the raffle donations and sales alone have far exceeded all of our expectations. Once we get this year under our belts, we will have somewhere to start for next year,” Blackstock said.
Local band Ain’t Right will perform throughout the evening.
The East Alabama Humane Society is a non-profit animal rescue, no-kill shelter. They have a volunteer program, a foster pet program, and a program for feral cats. The organization hosts adoptions at Petsmart every Saturday from 11-4 p.m. Adopt from the shelter, located at 712 13th St. Suite E Phenix City, Monday through Friday from 10-6 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. For more information, visit www.eahs4pets.com or call 334-298-6446.
