BeYond Expectations Community Outreach is proud to announce its fourth year awarding the S & M Russell County Scholarships. District 7 Russell County Commissioner Larry Screws and Mr. Willie McCoy founded the S & M Russell County Scholarship Fund in 2014. The mission is to promote the pursuit of higher learning in Russell County by providing opportunities to local students. The continuation of this scholarship is possible through the generous donations of individuals, businesses and organizations within our community who gladly took stock in investing in our future – our students.

Graduating high school students who attend Russell County High School; reside in District 7 of Russell County; who have demonstrated academic excellence; served more than 50 community service hours and/or may have financial hardships may apply. Scholarships are awarded regardless of race, sex, national origin, religion, disability, age, or sexual orientation.

Applications are available through Russell County and Central High School’s guidance counselors or email BeYond Expectations Community Outreach. The deadline for completed applications is March 19, 2018.
