The 3rd Annual Crawford Cookie Crawl will be April 14 from noon until 4 p.m. ET at the Historic Tuckabatchee Masonic Lodge in Crawford. Homemade cookies will be available for $5 per pound while they last, and all proceeds benefit Lee County tornado victims. There will be free photos with the Easter Bunny.
Russell County Commissioner Chance Corbett said the Cookie Crawl is where volunteers from the community make homemade cookies and display them for sale by the pound. Families can go from table to table selecting their cookies and putting them in a box to be weighed.
“The Cookie Crawl was very successful last year. It’s a fund raiser, and this year every bit of the proceeds will be going to help the tornado victims,” Corbett said. “And the kids love getting their picture taken with the Easter Bunny.”
The event is open to the public.
