RCHS Chorus Recognized at Commission Meeting

The Russell County High School Chorus received recognition awards for its members from the Russell County Commission last week. The awards were presented by Commissioner Ronnie Reed in honor of Black History Month to remember and celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Horace King, Della Gordon, Alabama representative George Bandy, Phenix City Councilman Johnnie Robinson, Lieutenant Barbara Jean LaGrand, among others.

The twenty-three recipients were Tiara Alexander, Luis Contreras, Skyla Curtis, Annajoi Davis, Stormy Davis, Jonathan Elliott, Dyneisha Forte, , John Griggs, Zyan Harris, Mara Hicks, Mandie Horace, K’nadia James, Audra Juodvalkis, Katelyn Kinsey, Aleigha Myers, Alexis Myers, Erianna Reynolds, Tiara Rogers, Amanda Stafford, Tyler Stice, Ryleigh Talbot, Cheyenne Tucker and Alyssa Williams. Director and Teacher Taylor Bergeron was also present and the commission expressed special thanks to RCHS principal Sheila Baker.
