7th Annual Commissioner Cup to be played Saturday

The Amateur to Professional Development Football League (APDFL) will be hosting it 7th Annual Commissioner Cup at Garret Harrison Stadium on Saturday, February 23, 2019.  The contest will feature 3 games between 6 teams representing both the National and American conferences of the APDFL with 3 states represented (Georgia, Alabama, and Louisiana).

The first game will feature 12th ranked Alabama Tigers of Eufaula, AL versus 11th ranked Louisiana Lighting of New Orleans, LA with a kickoff time of 2:00 pm. The second contest has a kickoff time of 5:00 p.m. when the 9th ranked East Alabama Predators of Opelika, AL take on 14th ranked Crescent City Rampage of New Orleans. The final contest of the night will feature the 5th ranked Georgia Kings square off against the 2nd ranked Crescent City Kings also of New Orleans.




We are extremely excited for the opportunity to play this event at historic Garrett Harrison Stadium, the home of the current state champions Central High Red Devils and 6 nationally ranked teams compete against each other to kick off our 2019 season. The Commissioner Cup provides our athletes, teams, and fans an amazing opportunity to be a part of unique event and not only showcase their skill but their programs. These teams feature athletes from all over the south east including many from the East Alabama area representing their former schools such a Beulah, Smiths Station, Central, Eufaula, Opelika, Booker T Washington, Russell County, Auburn High, Auburn University, Tuskegee University, LaGrange College, Faulkner, Huntingdon, Alabama State, Alabama A&M and several JUCOs.

The Amateur to Professional Developmental Football League was developed in 2011 as an attempt to not only assist athletes in getting into college or professional contracts, but also with the hopes of providing young men across the Southeast with an additional avenue of simply bettering their lives in a constructive fashion.
