Every month, the East Alabama Chamber of Commerce hosts a morning networking event called Biscuits and Business at the Board of Realtors building on Crawford Road. The event is a chance for chamber and non-chamber members to meet, share a meal and learn something new and interesting about a local entity.
Previous guest speakers have been directors from area chambers of commerce, local business owners, non-profit organization directors and community leaders.
“Biscuits and Business is an opportunity for networking and fellowship,” said East Alabama Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Dennis Beson. “We feel that it is crucial for people to develop relationships in the community to further their business endeavors.”
Biscuits and Business is typically the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 a.m. ET at the Board of Realtors building. In March, however, the event will be relocated to the Martin-Idle Hour Community Center. The guest speakers will be Russell County Sheriff Heath Taylor and Phenix City Police Chief Ray Smith. They will give an update on public safety and how to keep your business secure.
In April, Biscuits and Business will move back to its original location. The event is free to East Alabama Chamber members and $10 for non-members or future members. Each event has three levels of sponsorship that your business can be part of: Premiere Sponsor, Business Sponsor and Coffee Pouring Sponsor. For more information, contact the chamber at 334-298-3639.
