Phenix City Parks and Rec April Events
By Toni Stauffer
Phenix City Parks and Recreation has a fantastic season planned. Starting on April 5, there will be the Revival on the River Unity Night at the Amphitheatre from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Check out our article on the event at: http://citizenofeastalabama.com/featured/annual-revival-on-the-river-is-april-5/
On Saturday, April 6, come chill at the River Park Rendezvous with Chicago style blues musician Skyler Saufley from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. ET. You can take a break from activities on the river to relax in Phenix City’s entertainment district at the Amphitheatre with some great music. Food and beverages will be available from vendors.
“It’s a great view,” said Brad Strickland, Phenix City Parks and Rec Entertainment Coordinator. “And the Riverwalk is also an open container area.”
Containers must be purchased through approved vendors, which are the Marriott hotel, the Chattahoochee Brewing Company, and the Amphitheatre. People are invited to bring hammocks, and there will be some hammocks available from Parks and Rec.
“We’re just trying to give people a place to come relax and listen to some great music,” Strickland added.
Both events are free to attend. For more information, contact Brad Strickland at 334-291-4719.
