On April 21, The Phenix City Board of Realtors will be hosting the Fourth Annual Purple Ribbon Poker Run. Proceeds will benefit the Crisis Center of Russell County and educate the community of what the center does.
“We cannot function without the support of the community,” coordinator Janie Potts said.
The event will include food and drinks and a live performance by the band Ain’t Right Music.
In a poker run, participants, either on motorcycle or on foot, visit five to seven checkpoints and draw a playing card at each one. The goal of playing is to have the best poker hand at the end.
The Run will start at 10 a.m. ET at the Chattahoochee Harley Davidson on 3230 Williams Rd. in Columbus, GA and end at the Phenix City Board of Realtors on 1906 Crawford Road in Phenix City, Ala.
The cost is $20 per driver, $10 per passenger, $10 for an extra hand and $5 per card replaced at the end of the run (only two allowed). The cost is $10 for non-riders.
