If you’re not registered to vote, don’t worry. The Russell County Board of Registrars will have its annual voter registration Oct. 3 from 4 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Troy University, 1510 Whitewater Ave.
The last day to register to vote in Alabama is Oct. 22. The state-wide general election will be Nov. 6 and the community will be voting on state officials as well as local officers.
“This event will help to enroll new voters who have never voted before or to update those voters who have already registered but may have a different address that needs updating. All voters help to elect the best person(s) to office which they are running for. Voting gives power to the peoples voice of free election(s) to be heard through their vote,” said William Lewis, who is helping to organize this event.
