Troy University hosts tailgate Saturday

Reading Time: 1 minute

On Saturday, Troy University’s Riverfront campus (located at 1510 Whitewater Avenue in Phenix City) will host a community tailgate party for the Troy Trojans vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers game at 10 a.m. Game kick-off is at noon. While a heavy alumni presence is to be expected, Troy University encourages all community members to attend—even Nebraska fans.

This year’s tailgate event will include door prizes, indoor and outdoor game viewing areas, a silent auction, live music, local food trucks and vendors, brunch cocktails, corn hole, badminton, and a Kids’ Zone area featuring activities provided by SPARK Art, National Infantry Museum, and local artist, Ralph Frank. Alabama National Guard will man a towering rock wall for anyone brave enough to scale its height. While outdoor bar services will be available, this event is also BYOB-friendly.

Raffle tickets will be available to purchase until halftime for $5, with all (100%) of raffle ticket proceeds benefiting United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley. Enter for your chance to win generous prizes from participating local businesses such as Char-Broil, Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, Whitewater Express, Chattahoochee Paddle Company, and many more!
