UDC and Coweta Town Daughters Gather

 On Dec. 9, members of Russell County United Daughters of the Confederacy Chapter 2114 and Coweta Town Daughters of the American Revolution gathered at Girlfriends Restaurant for a combined Christmas meeting and luncheon.  The combined programs were given by MaurieAnne Swain on the Christmas WW 11 Truce and Alabama Day Trivia. Two Supplemental Certificates were awarded to LaDania Norton and Denise Faircloth for their Ancestors, Henry L Lisenby, Co I, 1st AL Infantry, and Thomas C Robinson, Co B, 1st Battery Sharp Shooters of Georgia. Coweta Town DAR welcomed a new prospective member, Becky Stephens. Denise Faircloth and LaDania Norton received UDC certificates from Registrar MaurieAnne Swain. Denisie’s certificate recognizes her ancestor Thomas Collins Robinson, Co B, 1st Battalion, Sharp Shooters of Georgia. LaDania’s ancestor was Henry L Lisenby, Co I, 1st Regiment, AL Infantry. Coweta Town Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution welcomes new member Lisa Dian Hester Unzicker. She was accepted into DAR through her patriot ancestor John Threldkeld of Virginia.
