Phenix City Schools announced the renewal of a 36-month contract for three elementary school principals and one intermediate school principal.
Sylvia Averett is the principal of Phenix City Elementary School which has approximately 720 students in grades K-5. Averett has a Master’s degree in Administration and she is completing her second school year as principal of PCES.
Bobby Cook is the principal of Phenix City Intermediate School which has approximately 1,100 students in 6th and 7th grades. Cook has a Master’s degree in Administration and he is completing his second school year as principal of PCIS.
Marceda Gordey-Lewis is the principal of Westview Elementary School and the Headstart Program which has approximately 525 students ranging from Pre-K to 5th grade. Lewis has her Education Specialist Degree and is completing her fifth year as principal of these two schools.
Lanette Holmes is the principal of Lakewood Elementary which has approximately 525 students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. Holmes has her Education Specialist Degree and is completing her second year as principal of LES.
