The small town of Hurtsboro is hosting another annual Community Health and Resources Fair sponsored by nonprofit BeYond Expectations.
The resource fair will be held April 27 at the Marian Wright-Edelman Center, 403 Red Fox Drive, in Hurtsboro, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. (CT). Everyone is invited to attend.
According to a press release, the Community Health and Resource Fair connects social services, health care professionals and other agencies to individuals, families and seniors throughout Russell County, Ala. Some attendees will include Help Me Grow, Lee/Russell Area on Aging, Alabama Cooperative Extension Services, Alabama Medicaid, Phenix City Spine & Joint, Alabama Hospice, United Healthcare, Wells Fargo Bank and Russell County Crisis Center. There will be information about healthy living habits related to eating and exercising; gardening tips, including free vegetable plants while supplies lasts; identity theft, resources for seniors and families; music/line dancing; food/drink and much more!
The event is free.
“Our goal is to provide as many resources as possible in one location and to get more community members involved a fun and relaxed environment,” said Cynthia McKinney, executive director of BeYond Expectations, in the press release.
