A sensational evening held in celebration of the arts was enjoyed by all who gathered at Smiths Station’s City Hall. The Sarah West Gallery of Fine Art in collaboration with the Mayor’s Office and the City of Smiths Station hosted the first Fine Art Exhibition Opening, honoring art students who have studied and developed artistic skills through continued fine art education classes in Smiths Station.
Community leaders, local and state government representatives, educators, area residents along with others who traveled from miles around offered expressions of boundless gratitude, appreciation and delight in Smiths Station’s emerging Cultural Scene.
At 6 p.m. on Friday evening, City Hall was all abuzz. The galleries, colonnade and city council chambers were filled to the brim with art patrons, artists and appreciators, anxious to catch a glimpse of the celebrated accomplishments. Surely this is only the first of many more milestones which unify a city through its celebrations for the humanities.
