Tim Cole: The Holy Spirit lives in us

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Zechariah 4:6. “Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.” Will you live in your power, by your own wit, according to your own plans, in your own way? You will miss out. You will miss out on what Heaven has to offer you.

Jesus told His disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they be endued, clothed, covered, anointed, infused, filled, baptized with power from on High.

Kathryn Kuhlman, walking the platform at one of her services, said, “Please don’t offend the Holy Spirit. He is all I have.” The Holy Spirit is a gentle dove. We need Him. We need His touch, His insight, His power, His presence, His love, His direction.

There is only one way to know and flow in the kingdom of God, in the things of God, in the gifts of God. It is by the Holy Spirit. No man knows the things of man, but the spirit of man.

No man knows the things of God, but by the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of this world, but the Spirit that is of God that we may know the things that are freely given to us by God. The Holy Spirit sweeps us into the heavenly world in this world. Overnight, through the new birth and communion with the Holy Spirit, our world expands gloriously.

Jesus, the Son of God, never entered the ministry or did any miracles until he was first baptized in the Holy Spirit. When He was being baptized in water the Holy Spirit came and settled upon Him like a dove. The power of God began to move in His life and ministry.

If Jesus needed the person, power, and ministry of the Holy Spirit how much more do we? Acts 1:8 says that we receive power after that the Holy Spirit has come upon us. The Holy Spirit brings power over the devil, flesh, and world. He brings power to worship God in spirit and in truth. He brings power to love people we couldn’t love by ourselves. He brings power to live a life that pleases God. He brings power to be a witness of Jesus. He brings power to flow in His supernatural gifts that bring miracles.

Where the Holy Spirit is honored, reverenced, and worshiped, there is liberty and freedom. II Corinthians 3:17. Mighty, supernatural things take place, lives are changed, Jesus is glorified, Heaven comes down; God manifests His presence. As Marilyn Hickey  said, “God shows up, shows off, and gets all the glory.”

The Holy Spirit can do more in our life in 30 seconds than we can accomplish with decades of effort.

The anointing of the Holy Spirit will destroy the yokes of bondage.
