Smiths Station’s LC Harris scored twice within 60 seconds to lead the Panthers from a 28-21 deficit to beat Eufaula 35-34 in the final game of Mike Glisson’s inaugural season with the school. The Panthers ended the year with a 6-4 record.
Harris ran for 150 yards on 27 carries for the night and had three touchdowns.
With 4:21 to play, Harris scored on a 2-yard run. He scored on a 34-yard run with 3:21 left after a Panthers interception. That gave Smiths Station a 35-28 lead.
And if that was not enough excitement in the contest, the Panthers recovered a Eufaula on sides kickoff attempt and stopped a two-point conversion attempt by the Tigers to secure the victory.
In addition to Harris’ 150 yards, Corey Minton ran for 92 yards on 10 carries.
